This year's competition will be oriented around the world, with Asia (including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan), Europe, North America, Oceania, and mainland China, a total of 5 competition areas. Projects can choose the nearest competition area according to the current location to register for the competition.
Requirements for registration
The competition is divided into overseas group (angel stage and growth stage) and domestic group (angel stage and growth stage).
1. Overseas group (angel period)
1. Participants should be Chinese with overseas master's degree or above, or overseas visiting scholars and postdoctoral research experience , and have held middle and high-level management R&D positions in well-known domestic and foreign companies related to entrepreneurial projects. No more than 10 years (after January 1, 2012);
2. The declared project has innovative ability and high growth potential, and has independent intellectual property rights (no intellectual property disputes);
3. Participants who have registered companies in mainland China within one year before the end of registration for this competition (including companies that have not yet registered in mainland China), that is, completed industrial and commercial registration after September 1, 2021, meet the declaration requirements;
4. Participants who have not registered in Yangpu should have the willingness to start a business in Yangpu and a specific landing plan;
5. The contestant should be the main founder of the declared project and the largest natural person shareholder with a shareholding ratio of not less than 30%.
2. Overseas group (growth period)
1. Participants should have obtained a degree abroad or studied and worked abroad, started a business for more than 1 year, and had more than 1 year of work experience in well-known domestic and foreign companies related to the entrepreneurial project , and returned to China (or came to China) for no more than 10 years (after January 1, 2012);
2. The participating projects have innovative capabilities, have good industrialization prospects, and have independent intellectual property rights (no intellectual property disputes);
3. The contestant has registered a company in mainland China (excluding Yangpu), and it is a non-listed company whose registration time is between January 1, 2014 and August 31, 2021;
4. Participants have the willingness to start a business in Yangpu and specific implementation plans;
5. The contestant should be the main founder of the declared project and the largest natural person shareholder with a shareholding ratio of not less than 30%.
3. Domestic group (angel period)
1. Participants should have a doctoral degree from a domestic university , and in principle should have the technical experience of joint research and transformation with well-known domestic and foreign companies related to entrepreneurial projects during their studies.
2. The participating projects have innovative ability and high growth potential, and have independent intellectual property rights (no intellectual property disputes);
3. Participants who have registered companies in mainland China within one year before the end of registration for this competition (including companies that have not yet registered in mainland China), that is, completed industrial and commercial registration after September 1, 2021, meet the declaration requirements;
4. Participants who have not registered in Yangpu should have the willingness to start a business in Yangpu and a specific landing plan;

4. Domestic group (growth stage)
1. In principle, the contestants should have a master’s degree or above from a domestic institution, and have more than one year of work experience in a well-known domestic and foreign company related to the entrepreneurial project ;
2. The participating projects have innovative capabilities, have good industrialization prospects, and have independent intellectual property rights (no intellectual property disputes);
3. The contestant has registered a company in mainland China (excluding Yangpu), and it is a non-listed company whose registration time is between January 1, 2014 and August 31, 2021;
4. Participants have the willingness to start a business in Yangpu and specific implementation plans;
5. The contestant should be the main founder of the declared project and the largest natural person shareholder with a shareholding ratio of not less than 30%.
Specially Invited Contestants
The main applicant who has won the honor equivalent to the second prize or above in the city's or national innovation and entrepreneurship competition in the past two years and meets the application requirements of this competition can be directly shortlisted for the semi-finals without the preliminary competition after online due diligence.
