And semiconductor equipment, new materials, energy conservation and environmental protection, biomedicine and medical equipment and other industrial fields will hold the 8th "Qichuang Cup" Entrepreneurship Competition in Qidong, China in 2023.

3. Registration conditions

The competition is mainly for high-level talents and team projects at home and abroad who intend to start (lead) start-ups in Qidong (including early-stage talent projects that have settled down). Specifically, the following conditions must be met:

1. Applicants should have obtained a full-time master’s degree or above, of which overseas degrees must be certified by the Overseas Education Service Center of the Ministry of Education (except those selected for the National Major Talent Project or those who obtained their degrees before 2000).

2. As of March 2023, have more than 5 years of work experience in R&D positions (more than 2 years for a Ph. .

3. Possess independent intellectual property rights or the right to use (licensed), with mature entrepreneurial projects and business plans, domestically leading technological achievements or business models, and good prospects for industrialization.

4. Talents who have not yet registered in Qidong must intend to come to Qidong to innovate and start a business within one year after the competition. For companies that have already registered in Qiqi, the registration time shall not be earlier than August 1, 2022.

Priority will be given to those who meet the following conditions:

1. Have working experience in the management of Fortune 500 companies, members of internationally renowned academic organizations, senior members of national academic institutions, senior executives of listed companies and unicorn companies, or continuous entrepreneurial experience;

2. Currently still working and living overseas or have overseas study and work experience, and can provide relevant valid certificates;

3. The core technology level of the project has reached the international advanced level or the domestic leading level, fills the domestic gap or leads the development of related industries, and can provide relevant effective certificates;

4. Plan to start a business full-time or have more than 3 entrepreneurial team members (technical research and development, operation management, market development, etc., at least one of whom is full-time);

5. Young talents under the age of 35 (born after January 1, 1988).

4. Competition format

This competition adopts the combination of sub-competition and finals, and selects the winning projects by organization registration, qualification review, sub-competition, and finals.

1. Organization registration

The competition adopts the form of registration, and the applicants should fill in the "2023 China·Qidong 8th "Qichuang Cup" Entrepreneurship Competition Application Form" and "2023 China·Qidong 8th "Qichuang Cup" Entrepreneurship Competition Registration Summary before April 30 Form", and provide supporting materials such as ID card or passport, academic degree certificate, professional title and qualification certificate, past performance achievements and honorary certificates.

2. Qualification review

According to the entry conditions and requirements, the organizing committee of the competition will conduct a preliminary review of the qualifications of the participating projects, and screen out the list for entering each sub-competition.

3. Split

The sub-competition will be carried out in the form of on-site road show and defense. Experts will score on the spot and select and determine the winning projects of each sub-competition. The time and city of each sub-competition will be announced separately.

4. Finals
The first, second and third prize-winning projects of each sub-competition will be shortlisted for the finals. Each project will be carried out through on-site roadshow and defense, and experts will score on the spot to determine the first prize, second prize, third prize and several winners of the finals.

5. Support content

1. Incentive funds


There will be first, second and third prizes and a number of winners in the sub- competition , with rewards of 20,000 yuan (RMB, the same below), 10,000 yuan, 5,000 yuan, and 3,000 yuan respectively. Among them, 50% of the first, second and third prizes will be paid in the first installment, and the remaining 50% will be paid after participating in the finals.

, with rewards of 200,000 yuan, 100,000 yuan, 50,000 yuan, and 10,000 yuan respectively. 20% of the bonus will be paid in the first installment, and the remaining 80% will be paid after the project is settled in Qidong and officially put into operation.

2. The first, second and third prizes of the project funding
finals start a business in Qidong within one year from the date of award, and meet the application conditions of the "Dongjiang Talent Plan" of the city, and can be directly selected to start a business in the "Dongjiang Talent Plan" of the city 500,000-10 million yuan will be given to the category; those who have successfully connected with local enterprises in Qidong and achieved industrialization, and meet the application conditions of the city’s “Dongjiang Talents Plan”, can be directly selected for the innovation category of the city’s “Dongjiang Talents Plan”, and will be given 50-10 million yuan. With a funding of 3 million yuan, they can be recommended to apply for the national talent plan and the "Double Entrepreneurship Plan" of Jiangsu Province.

3. Related Subsidies

During the competition, the organizer will be responsible for the board and lodging arrangement of the contestants themselves, and will give them 1,500 yuan/person transportation subsidy.

4. Supporting support

For the award-winning projects settled in Qidong, the place where the project is located will provide a certain area of ​​physical space for office, R&D and production, and the rent will be "exempted for three years and halved for two". Those who buy a house for self-occupation in Qiqi will be given a house purchase subsidy of up to 3 million yuan.

6. Matters needing attention

1. This contest does not charge any fees to the contestants.

2. Contestants must not violate the rules of the competition, and the materials related to the entrepreneurial project submitted must not have any illegal phenomena such as plagiarism or embezzlement. Once found, they will be disqualified from the competition or the prize money will be recovered. If the competition involves intellectual property disputes, all responsibilities shall be borne by the contestants themselves.

3. Contestants participate in this competition completely on a voluntary basis. If they have any objections to the competition, they should contact the competition organizing committee in time or choose to withdraw from the competition, but they have no right to request changes to the competition rules or compensate any expenses incurred due to participation.

4. If the normal progress of the competition is affected by force majeure factors such as the epidemic, the organizer has the right to adjust the schedule accordingly or terminate the competition.
