Why do people think the writer is mad?

Aeroplanes are slowly driving me mad. I live near an airport and passing planes can be heard night and day.

飞机正在逐渐把我逼疯。我住在一个机场附近,过往飞机日夜不绝于耳
  【1 drive me mad 驱使某人发疯。2 be heard :be done被动语态】

The airport was built years ago, but for some reason it could not be used then. Last year, however, it came into use.

机场是许多年前建的,但由于某种原因当时未能启用。然而去年 机场开始使用了

Over a hundred people must have been driven away from their homes by the noise.

有100 多人肯定是被噪音逼得已经弃家远去
【1 drive away 驱赶着离开;2 must have been driven away :must have done 推测过去,be done 被动;3 must have been done 推测过去的被动 My cell phone must have been stolen】

I am one of the few people left. Sometimes I think this house will be knocked down by a passing plane.

我是少数留下来的人中的一个。有时我觉得这房子就要被一架飞过的飞机撞倒

I have been offered a large sum of money to go away, but I am determined to stay here.

Everybody says I must be mad and they are probably right.

2 单词

2.1 mad [mæd] adj. 发疯

I know I was wrong. Please don’t be mad at me. 我知道我错了,请不要对我生气。be mad at 非常的生气。
go mad 他自己变疯了
drive sb. mad 驱使某人发疯了
His behavior really drives me mad. 他的行为,真的令我发疯了。
drive drove driven

2.2 reason [ˈri:zn] n. 原因

for some reasons some (因为一些原因)表示一些,加可数名词复数或者不可数名词
for some reason some (因为某种原因)表示某一个,加可数名词单词或者不可数名词
for one reason or another 因为种种原因
reasonable adj. 合理的
unreasonable adj. 不合理的

2.3 sum [sʌm] n. 量

a large sum of money 大量的钱
to sum up 总之

2.4 determined [dɪˈtɜ:mɪnd] adj. 坚定的,下定决心的

be determined to do sth. 下定决心做某事
He is determined to go abroad for further education.
We are determined to hold on to the last.

3 语法讲解

3.1 什么是被动

被动语态。(主语和动作是被做的关系,用被动语态)

3.2 结构:

be + done。done 被动的动作,be 被动的时间/单复数。

3.3 与时态结合

他每天被打 He is beaten every day.
他昨天被打 He was beaten yesterday.
他明天将要被打 He will be beaten tomorrow.
他现在正在被打. He is being beaten.
他现在已经被打. He has been beaten.

公式
have/has been done. 现在完成时的被动。(现在的之前被…)
am/is/are + being done 现在进行时的被动。(现在正被…)

3.4 与情态相结合

Planes are heard.
Planes can be heard.
Planes could be heard. (飞机过去能被听见)
Planes may be heard.
Planes must be hear.

3.5 doing 修饰名词,做定语。表示主动,正在进行。

【短放前,长放后。1 个词放n前,词组放n后面】

doing + n
passing planes 正在经过飞机
a waiting car. 一个正在等着的车
a sleeping baby. 一个正在睡觉的车

n + doing 词组
a women wearning a white coat 一个正穿着白大衣的女人。

3.6 done 修饰名词,做定语

【短放前,长放后。1 个词放n前,词组放n后面】
done + 名词
used cars 被使用的车
wasted time 被浪费的时间
a deserted car park 被遗弃的停车场
a developed country 被发展完的国家

left 例外,通常放在被修饰名词后面
I am one of the few people left.我是少数被落下的人之一。left修饰people 被落下。

名词+done 词组
a car called Blue Bird。一个被叫做蓝鸟的车。

4 课文讲解

1 Aeroplanes arc slowly driving me rnad.飞机正在逐渐把我逼疯。drive someone mad,逼疯。

2 passing planes can be heard night and day。过往飞机日夜不绝于耳。在句中passing用来修饰名词planes,起形容词作用,是一个现在分词。

3 came into use,启用。

4 Over a hundred people must have been driven away from their homes by the noise.有100多人肯定是被噪音逼得离家远去。情态动词must+完成时态,是对过去事情的推测,猜恻某一事情肯定已经发生。drive away 赶走,逼走。
