Who is Percy Buttons?
I have just moved to a house in BridgeStreet. Yesterday a beggar knocked at mydoor.

He asked me for a meal and a glassof beer. In return for this, the beggarstood on his head and sang songs.

2.1 beggar [ˈbegə®] n. 乞丐
注意这里的嘴型，如果嘴巴张大发 [bæg] 就变成bag了。这里是小口型的e，只有45度的发音。

3 语法讲解(冠词)
冠词，冠：表示帽子。
冠词放在名词前面。
3.1 冠词分类
- 定冠词： the
- 不定冠词 ：a/an
- 零冠词： 没有冠词
3.2 冠词作用
- 定冠词 the 表示特指
- 不定冠词 a/an 表示泛指
- 零冠词 不加冠词 表示特殊用途（比如三餐前面不能有冠词，玩球不能有冠词，专有名词不能有冠词）
泛指：
- 不明确的对象.
I am hungry.
I want an apple.（我希望随便一个苹果，没有明确的对象）
2）上下文中首次提到的对象
I saw a dog in Bridge Street yesterday.
特指：
1）明确的对象
I am hungry.
I want the apple in your hand.（我希望在你手上的苹果，这里有了明确的对象，是在你手上的苹果）
2）上下文中再次提到的对象
The dog was really cute.
3.4 名词修饰表格
注意，可数/不可数名词前面都可以加上some。不可数名词或者可数名词复数前面在泛指的时候可以没有冠词。
books 泛指表示书这一类。
some books 泛指的时候表示一些书。
英语中 this/that/these 都可以翻译成the。
this/that/these：除非用手指头指着才用这几个，否则都可以用the
Air polloution is a serious problem.（空气污染是一个严峻的额问题，这里的空气污染是不可数名词，同时泛指空气污染）
The air polloution of Beijing must be solved at once.（北京的空气污染必须立马解决，这里有明确的对象是北京的空气污染）
Lisa gave tea as a gift.（tea首次提到，而且是不可数所以没有冠词。礼物是首次出现，并且是可数名词所以用a）
The tea is very good.（再次提到需要用the）
