Virtual machine installation ubuntu22.04 tutorial
1 Download the ubuntu image
address:https://cn.ubuntu.com/download/desktop
2 Create a virtual machine
Save the downloaded IOS image to a place, and create the virtual machine below.
Next step:
choose to install an image later:
choose ubuntu64 bit:
choose the storage location of the virtual machine:
here choose the number of processors 2, the number of cores 2, of course, the more the better the performance, but there is still more waste, and it cannot exceed the physical actual condition of the machine.
Allocate 4G of memory, just follow the recommendation.
Just keep going to the next step, know the following place, choose how much space to allocate for the virtual machine here, 20G is generally enough, just go to the next step after here.
2.1 Select mirror
This is the newly created virtual machine, click to edit the virtual machine:
press the picture to select the CD, choose to use the IOS image file, click the browse behind, and select the image you just downloaded and saved to confirm.
Find the image and click to open it.
Click OK here to proceed to the next step.
3 Install the virtual machine
Click to start the virtual machine.
Entering is as shown in the figure below, here you can only use up and down control, select the second one, and press Enter to enter the next step.
Enter the graphical installation interface, choose your favorite language here, click on the right side Install Ubuntu
:
keyboard layout is fine, go to the next step directly:
no other options are needed, and you can choose to minimize the installation. The following other options
two are optional, the first one Don't check it, the second one can be checked. Then just continue.
4 disk partitions
If you selected the first one, see the next section 5 to start the installation. Choose the second option, just look here.
Click 新分区表
, if there is an error in the partition, just press Revert
the restore button on the right.
The situation after creating a new partition table is as follows. For the time being, only space is allocated to this Device, and no partition has been performed yet. Below this partition.
Partition content
1. Create a swap partition: 4096MB logical partition space start position partition format is swap
The swap partition is equivalent to the "virtual memory" in Windows. If the physical memory is less than or equal to 512MB, it is recommended to allocate a swap partition whose size is twice the physical memory capacity; if the physical memory is greater than 512MB, it is recommended to allocate a swap partition whose size is equal to the physical memory capacity ; If your memory is large enough, you don't need to create a swap partition.
For example, my virtual machine has allocated 4G of memory, so I configure swap to 4G.
The figure below shows the allocated swap, and each allocation is an allocation of free space.
2. Create a boot partition: boot partition, including the operating system kernel and startup programs.
This partition can be allocated 512M; logical partition; space starting position; EXT4; mount point /boot.
3. Create the primary partition: 30G, primary partition, space start location, ext4, mount point/
suggestion: install the system and software, and set the partition as large as possible. The partition settings are as follows, and the allocated space is allocated according to your actual situation.
4. tmp partition: Temporary files of the system, restart will not save, 5g, logical partition, space start position, ext4
, mount point /tmp
5. efi partition, 512M, logical partition, space start position, EFI System
Partition The partition is used to boot the system so that the system can start normally.
6. Create bootloader partition, logical partition, space start location
7. Create a home partition: remaining space, logical partition, space start location, ext4, mount point/home
Suggestion: equivalent to "My Documents", set the partition as large as possible
Total partition situation
Partition | capacity | mount point | File system | partition type |
---|---|---|---|---|
swap | 512M | none | swap area | logical partition |
efi | 512M | none | EFI System Partition | logical partition |
tmp | 5G | /tmp | Ext4 | logical partition |
Bootloader Code Partition | 10M | none | Reserved BIOS boot area | logical partition |
boot | 512M | /boot | Ext4 | logical partition |
primary partition | 30G | / | Ext4 | primary partition |
home | remaining | /home | Ext4 | logical partition |
5 Start the installation
Create a user:
the next step is to wait for the installation to complete:
