1. File and software download

Download VMware Workstation
The author here is using VMware Workstation15.5pro, you can also download it from the official website
2. Install the virtual machine
First open the Vmware interface and click on the "Create a new virtual machine" option
Open the New Virtual Machine Wizard, select the custom option, and click Next
After a series of processes, please refer to the illustration in the figure
Because the Vmware used by the author is 15.5, so select 15.X for hardware compatibility, and click Next
Select the number of processors and cores here, and it is recommended to match your own system. The author here sets the total number to 8
Select the virtual machine memory here, it is recommended to select according to your notebook configuration
Click here to customize hardware
Remove the sound card and printer here
Then click CD/DVD, choose to use the ISO image file, and select the location of the Ubuntu 18.04 you downloaded
The final result is as shown in the figure, click the Finish button to complete the installation
We can see that there is an additional Ubuntu 64-bit we just named in the column of my computer, and then click to open this virtual machine
3. Install the Ubuntu system
Wait a few seconds after opening, enter the following interface, click to select Chinese (simplified), and then click to select to install Ubuntu
Enter your username and password here, and click Continue
Then it will appear as shown in the figure below, just wait for the installation, it may take more than ten minutes, please wait patiently.
After the installation is complete, restart the virtual machine system
After restarting, it is found that the page size does not match the display. Here you need to install VMware tool first.
4. Install VMware Tools
Click to install Tools in the yellow bar below or click on the virtual machine, and then click "Install VMware Tools Installation". The author here displays "Cancel VMware Tools Installation" because it has already been installed.
Move the folder to the main directory for later operation
Right click to open in terminal
tar -zxvf VMware Tools-10.25-8068393.tar.gz
We can see that the decompression is successful
Then open the file first, enter the following statement
cd vmware-tools-distrib
Then compile accordingly
sudo ./vmware-install.pl
When starting the installation, remember to enter yes first, and the other default line feed key (Enter)
If the installation is successful, you will find that the display effect is adapted
