01. Introduction to Ubuntu 22.04
Ubuntu 22.04 LTS is an operating system released by Canonical on April 21, 2022, code-named Jammy Jellyfish.
Ubuntu 22.04 LTS features GNOME power profiles and streamlined workspace transitions; improves desktop frame rates on optimized graphics drivers; moves to OpenSSL v3 with new encryption algorithms for improved security; offers ten different accent colors, including dark and light variant themes, as well as a wider selection of community wallpapers.

03. Ubuntu 22.04 download
Ubuntu has gained support for HD touchscreens, desktop UI scaling, and touchpad gestures. 22.04 LTS updates the iconic Yaru theme with system-wide dark style preference support, accent colors and the largest collection of community wallpapers yet.
Download a long-term support (LTS) version of Ubuntu designed for desktop PCs and laptops. LTS means "long-term support", usually 5 years. The LTS version will provide free security and maintenance updates until April 2027.

04. Ubuntu 22.04 (Creating a virtual machine method 1)
4.1 Create a new virtual machine
4.2 In the New Virtual Machine Wizard, select Custom and click Next
4.3 Select virtual machine hardware compatibility
4.4 Choose to install the operating system later
4.5 Select the guest operating system, Ubuntu64-bit
4.6 Select the appropriate location and click Next
4.7 Processor configuration, select 4 cores
4.8 Set the virtual machine memory to at least 4G. If the physical machine has 32G memory, it is recommended to choose 8G.
4.9 Set network type
4.10 Select the IO controller type, the default is enough
4.11 Select the disk type, the default is enough
4.12 Select disk
4.13 Set disk capacity
4.14 Disk file, default is enough
4.15 Click Finish to create the virtual machine
05. Ubuntu 22.04 (Create virtual machine method 2 (recommended))
5.1 Create a new virtual machine
5.2 Using typical configurations
5.3 Choose to install the operating system later
5.4 Select guest operating system
5.5 Name the virtual machine and select an appropriate storage path
5.6 Specify the disk capacity, at least 25G, 40G recommended
5.7 Click Finish to create the virtual machine
06. Ubuntu 22.04 installation
Warm reminder : Before installation, set the processor to 4 cores and the memory to at least 4G. If the physical memory has 32G, it is recommended to set it to 8G.
6.1 Set CD/DVD type
6.2 Specify ISO image file path
6.3 Turn off the network to prevent updates from being installed
Uncheck Connect on startup
6.4 Click to start this virtual machine
6.5 Select the first option, try or install Ubuntu
6.6 Select Simplified Chinese and click to install Ubuntu
6.7 Select Chinese on the keyboard, then click Continue
6.8 Select Minimal Installation and click Continue
6.9 Select to clear the entire disk and install Ubuntu, then click Install Now
6.10 Choose to continue
6.11 Select Shanghai and continue
6.12 Set username and password and click Continue
6.13 Wait for about ten minutes for the installation process.
6.14 Installation completed, now restart
6.15 Enter the password to display the Ubuntu desktop
