1. Download the Kali Linux system image
To install Kali Linux, you need to use the Kali image and VMware virtual machine. It is recommended to download it from the official website.

Two, VMware virtual machine configuration
Step 1: Click to create a new virtual machine
Step 2: Select Custom and click Next
Step 3: Choose to install the operating system later, then click Next
Step 4: Select Linux as the client operating system, the version can be selected: Ubantu or Debian, and then click Next
Step 5: Name the name of the virtual machine, select the installation path, and click Next
Step 6: Choose the number of processors according to your computer configuration. I filled in two, because this number of processors is enough for basic operations.
Step 7: Follow the recommended settings for the rest. When setting the size of the disk partition, it must not be smaller than 30GB, otherwise an error will be reported during the installation, and the installation will not work. I set it to 50GB. Click Next to complete the creation. Below we select the disk as a single file
Step 8: Click on Customize Hardware
Step 9: Click the New CD/VDD option, then click Use ISO Image File and select the kali Linux image you downloaded, then click Close
Step 10: Open the virtual machine kali we just created. After opening, select Graphical install (custom installation) and press Enter.
Step 11: Start the installation----choose language, the default is English language, let’s choose Chinese to install, press Enter directly after selection, country selection, we choose China, keyboard selection, we choose Chinese
Step 12: After installing the program, set the host username. It is required to configure the network proxy. If we do not configure it and continue directly, we need to enter the password.
Step 13: The next step is the partition, we will continue until the end of the partition is changed to "Yes"
Step Fourteen: Just keep going, there is nothing left to choose
Step 15: Install the GRUB boot loader, be sure to click "Yes", then click "Continue", select /dev/sda
Step 16: Complete the installation. At this point, the kali Linux installation is complete. After restarting, enter the user and password you set in Step 12 to enter the system
