3. Install the operating system
1. Download the Ubuntu image
1. Enter the official website and click "Download"
2. Start downloading

2. Create a virtual machine
1. Open VMware and click "Create a new virtual machine"
2. Select "Custom (Advanced)" and click "Next"
3. The default is fine, click "Next"
4. Select "Install the operating system later" and click "Next"
5. Select the Linux system and Ubuntu version, and click "Next"
6. Set the name and storage location, click "Next"
7. Set the number of processors and cores. Generally, the total number of processor cores is set to half of the number of physical machine threads, and click "Next".
8. Set the memory as needed, click "Next"
9. Set the network type to "Use Network Address Translation", click "Next"
10. Select the "LSI Logic" type and click "Next"
11. Select the "SCSI" disk type and click "Next"
12. Select "Create a new virtual disk" and click "Next"
13. Set the disk size and select "Save as a single file", click "Next"
14. Set the name and click "Next"
15. Click "Finish"
16. Click "Edit Virtual Machine Settings"
17. Click "CD/DVD", select "Use ISO image file", browse the Ubuntu image just downloaded, and click "OK"
3. Install the operating system
1. Click "Start this virtual machine"
2. Select "Try or Install Ubuntu" and press Enter
3. Select the language and click "Install Ubuntu"
4. Set the keyboard layout, select Chinese here, click "Continue" [some machines have a small window during installation, you can hold down Win or Alt to drag, and will not be introduced later]
5. Select "Normal installation" and "Download updates when installing Ubuntu", and click "Continue" below
6. Select the installation type and click "Install Now" below
7. Click "Continue"
8. Select the time zone as "Shanghai", and click "Continue"
9. Set the name, computer name, user name and password, and click "Continue"
10. Waiting for installation
11. Click "Restart Now"
4. Login system
1. Click on your username
2. Enter the password and press Enter
3. Click "Skip"
4. Select "Skip for now" and click "Forward"
5. You can choose "yes or no", click "forward"
6. You can choose "yes or no", click "forward"
7. Click "Finish"
8. Select "Settings"
