Open URL: http://www.ubuntu.com , click Download, as shown below, you can download. File size 1.8G.
Mirroring the download process, we can move on to the next step.
2, the establishment of a virtual machine ubuntu
1. Start VMware, select "Create a new virtual machine."
2, open the "New Virtual Machine Wizard" dialog box, select "Custom (Advanced) (C)", then click "Next."
3, click "Next."
4, choose "install the operating system later" and click "Next."
5, select the "Linux" system, and select "Ubuntu 64 Bits" in the drop-down list, and then click "Next."
6, set the installation location, and click "Next."
7, set the number of processors and core number, configured according to the actual situation of the personal computer, then click "Next."
8, setting memory use, according to the actual situation, and then click "Next."
9, set the network mode, then click "Next."
10, set the controller type, use the default mode, and then click "Next."
11, set the virtual disk type, use the default mode, and then click "Next."
12, select "Create a new virtual disk" and then click "Next."
13, set the disk capacity, and select the virtual disk storage, and then click "Next."
14, set the file name, and click "Next."
15, click "Finish" button to complete the initial set of virtual machines.
3, install Ubuntu
1, click the "Edit virtual machine settings" button in the VMware window, open the "Virtual Machine Settings" dialog box.
2, click on "CD \ DVD (SATA)" item, then select the "Use image" in the right window and select the downloaded image file, and finally click "OK" button.
3, VMware return to the main window, click on the "open virtual machine" button, enter the system installation interface.
4, wait for the system to start, into the "Welcome screen", select "English", and click "install Ubuntu" button;
5, click on the "continue" button;
6、选择”Normal installation”选项，并取消“Download updates while installing ubuntu”选项，然后点击“countinue”按钮；
7、选中“Erase disk and install Ubuntu”选项，然后点击“Install Now”按钮；
8、在弹出的对话框中点击“continue”按钮；
9、设置地理位置，然后点击“continue”按钮；
10、设置用户名和密码，然后点击“continue”按钮；
11、进入系统安装界面，请耐心等待；
12、待安装完成，在弹出的对话框中，点击“Restart Now”按钮；
13、提示移除安装媒介，然后重启；
14、点击工具栏上的红框标记的下拉框，在弹出菜单中选择“关闭计算机”；
15、在弹出窗口中，点击“关机”按钮；
16、回到VMware主窗口，点击“编辑虚拟机设置”按钮，打开“虚拟机设置”对话框。按照下图进行设置，然后点击“确定”按钮；
17.在VMware主窗口中，点击“开启此虚拟机”按钮，进入系统。到目前为止，Ubuntu系统已安装完成。
