Query via Journal Citation Reports:Genome Biology  journals have published more than 250 long articles (citable items) each year in the past three years, and the proportion of long articles in the total number of published articles in the past three years has exceeded 88%, and the proportion of long articles in 2021 will be as high as 91%. The details are as follows:

LetPub official website shows: Genome Biology  journal impact factor remains between 10-15 all year round, and will rise to 17.906 in 2021.

Sanger Assistant Impact Factor Prediction

Based on the query of the "Sanger Assistant" official account, Gesang predicts that  the impact factor of Genome Biology  in 2022 will be less than 13.43.

Web of Science Impact Factor Prediction

First, obtain the impact factor calculation formula through Journal Citation Reports

● Enter website: https://jcr.clarivate.com/

● Search for " Genome Biology  ", as shown in the figure below:

According to the calculation formula of the impact factor in the above figure, in order to predict the impact factor in 2022, the denominator should be the number of articles published in 2020 and 2021 (in terms of long articles), and the numerator should be the citations of articles published in 2020 and 2021 in 2022. number. The above data can be obtained through the Web of Science official website.

● Enter URL: https://www.webofscience.com/

● Select a publication and search for " Genome Biology ", as shown in the figure below:

Check the articles published in 2021 and 2022 and click Citation Report to get the analysis report, as shown below:

6dd07008310c9dc4ca0a199be7edc84a.png

In 2022, the number of citations to articles in 2020 and 2021 totaled 7481 times. As shown below:

0823dcafdbc5af592134dc422de4812e.png

The number of long articles published in 2020 and 2021 is 275+320=595, and the number of citations of 2020 and 2021 articles in 2022 is 7481 times. Therefore, the impact factor forecast in 2022 is IF=7481/595=12.57.

Proportion of Chinese people posting articles

fa9c291e763b58da84e43d36363700f9.png

Chinese articles accounted for 12.3%, second only to the United States, ranking second.

Review cycle

7a18726b56832c5e244913553247a942.png

The overall review period of Genome Biology  is 263.5 days, and the publication speed is relatively slow.

Self-pull rate

1252d3f0ce1ea043dc4e380047e09f2f.png

The self-citation rate of Genome Biology   remains within 4% all year round, and the self-citation rate will drop to 2.7% in 2021, which is extremely low.

To sum up, Genome Biology   , as a journal in the field of microbiology, has a high impact factor, a high proportion of long papers, and a very low self-citation rate.
