win10 dual system installation Ubuntu20.04 record

Reason for writing this blog

I wanted to reinstall ubuntu tonight, but I accidentally deleted the partition belonging to win10 with genius, leaving only the C drive and D drive. After reinstalling win10, I thought there would still be data on the D drive, but it was gone, even my graduation photo was gone. So it is still necessary to prepare a mobile hard disk to store important things

If you want to avoid the above-mentioned tragic situation when you reinstall ubuntu in the future, you have to remember which partitions belong to win10 before installing Ubuntu

Use Disk Management to view:

After allocating a 150GB volume:

 About how to install ubuntu

install ubuntu

Install dual system win10+Ubuntu20.04LTS (so detailed that I am afraid myself) bazyd

But I didn't follow his instructions on how to partition

I am like this:

Swap partition 8GB = 8192GB primary partition

/ root partition 15GB = 15360MB logical partition ext4

/efi partition 500MB logical partition ext4

/usr 25GB = 25600MB logical partition ext4

The rest of /home partition, at least 50GB logical partition ext4

In short, the home partition must be the largest, and the size of the /usr partition is planned according to the size of my last Ubuntu use.

Some settings after installing Ubuntu

other configuration

For example, the configuration of the ssh connection, you can also see the blog above Ubuntu installation

Although I can't find some files anymore, I have learned a lot from this installation, and these problems have been encountered repeatedly before.

Finally, some important files are recommended to be backed up to the mobile hard disk every week

At the same time, I am very grateful to the authors of the blogs quoted in the article. It is precisely because of their selfless sharing that we have learned these things so quickly!
