MX Linux 21.1 released, a Debian-based Linux distribution

MX Linux is a middleweight Linux operating system based on the Debian stable release, using the core components of antiX, plus additional software created or packaged by the MX community.

MX Linux 21.1 is the first update to the MX Linux 21 release, which includes bug fixes, kernel and application updates. This version is a relatively small version update, the update content is as follows:

  • Based on Debian 11.3 "bullseye"
  • New and updated apps
  • Disk-manager is back in the official iso
  • mx-samba-config for configuring samba/cifs user shares
  • mx-installer got some improvements
  • All kernel updates: AHS now uses the 5.16 kernel
