MX Linux is a desktop-oriented Linux distribution based on the Debian stable branch, the product of the collaboration between antiX and the earlier MEPIS Linux community. MX 23 is built on Debian 12 'bookworm' and the MX software sources. Like past releases, MX will use SysVInit by default, but systemd will remain an option for installed systems. Updates from RC to final are fully supported. This release builds on beta 2 and includes all bug fixes and changes to date, including default wallpapers and themes, as well as updated translations and applications.
