The planning scope management is:

• Record how to define, confirm and control the project scope and product scope, and the process of creating a scope management plan.
• The main function of this process is to provide guidance and direction on how to manage the scope throughout the project.

The scope management plan is:

• Part of a project or program management plan
• Describe how the project scope will be defined, formulated, monitored, controlled and confirmed
