[PMP Preparation] Knowledge Points of PMBOK 6th Edition-Chapter 5: Project Scope Management 6

The scope of control is:

  • Supervise the scope status of projects and products, and manage the process of changing the scope baseline
  • The main function of this process is to maintain the scope baseline during the entire project period, and it needs to be carried out throughout the project period.

The scope of the control project ensures that all change requests, recommended corrective actions or preventive actions are handled through the implementation of the overall change control process.

Scope spread:

  • Expansion of uncontrolled products or project scope (without corresponding adjustments in time, cost and resources)

Work performance data may include the number of change requests received, the number of change requests accepted, or the number of deliverables verified, confirmed, and completed.
