We will not spend too much time on the history: the "shallow" neural networks, the Neocognitron (1980), or the seemingly slow development (despite their actually significance) in the following thirty years. This article will only cover the modern (2011-) achievements in CNN, moreover, they will be organized by their applications or motivations.
