其他状语从句：让步状语从句，原因状语从句，比较状语从句，方式状语从句，目的状语从句，结果状语从句
\1. 让步状语从句
A. 常见引导词：though, although, even though, even if, since, despite, in spite of the fact, no matter疑问词
B. 主句从句之间没有but，可用yet, still连接
造句练习:
eg:
即使我来了，但是我心不在焉。
Even though I came here, my mind is not here.
虽然他们是乞丐，但是他们很有钱。
Though they are beggars, (yet) they have deep pockets.
雅思写作高分句：
eg:
Despite the recent improvement in the economy, unemployment has continued to rise.
In spite of the fact that learning a foreign language requires a lot of time, and effort, many people manage it successfully.
C. No matter “无论…”(感觉最强)
No matter + 疑问词 = 疑问词 + ever
No matter what = whatever
eg:
不管经历多少沧桑变故，你依然是我爱的人。
No matter how old you are, you are still the one I love.
(=However old you are---用的少一些)
No matter where you are = Wherever you are
No matter who you are = Whoever you are
造句练习:
拥抱每一次机会，不管它是什么。
Embrace every opportunity, no matter what it is.(opportunity--机遇，表达更为正面)
No matter what, no matter when, no matter who, any man has a chance to sweep any woman off her feet.
\2. 原因状语从句
Because （直接原因，语气强）
Since （常置于句首，语气弱）
As（已知原因，语气弱）
\3. 比较状语从句
A. Than…
B. As…as
①As + adj/adv + as
eg:
You are as beautiful as an angel.
as deep as a well
as drunk as a fish
as loud as thunder
As + adj/adv + as possible= as + adj/adv+ as sb can/could
eg:
Call me as soon as possible. = Call me as soon as you can.
as poosibel as you can (错误) as soon as possible
as much as you can | as little as you can

do sth. as effectively and efficiently as possible
②as + adj. + n. + as
eg:
Coke has twice as much caffeine as coffee.
three times | four times 没有一倍，英文中只有我是你的几倍，没有我比你大几倍的说法
③not so/ as …as
eg:
Peter is not so charming as Sam.(更好)
= Peter is less charming than Sam.

People are not so patient as they once were.
\4. 方式状语从句
As if + 从句“似乎，好像” （= as though）
通常跟在描述行为举止的动词之后：appear, feel, look, smell, sound
eg:
Make you feel as if you're home.
雅思写作高分句:
Human being are exploiting natural resource as if it would never be used up.
We lead our daily life too often as if we take our family for granted.
\5. 目的状语从句
A. 以便
①so that
②in order that
B. 常含有情态动词
May/might/can/could
C. 一般放于主句之后，若强调目的，可将从句放于句首
雅思写作高分句：
In order that children could stay ahead and competitive, parents and teachers make the best use of their free time.
D. 可用to do 简化
①so as to do
②in order to do
③to do
雅思写作高分句：
In order to stay ahead and competitive, children get rid of their hobbies.
\6. 结果状语从句
So + adj./adv + that…
Such + (a/an) + adj + n. + that…
A. “如此。。。以至于。。。”
B. 都可用于表示程度
C. 放于主句之后，不能提到句首

We are already so used to using a keyboard that today's children are losing the ability to spell without the aid of a word processor.
