The first step is to open the browser and search for the official VMware download of the virtual machine https://www.kali.org/get-kali/#kali-virtual-machines
1. Install Vmware
2. Open Vmware, start creating a virtual machine , and click Create Virtual Machine
1. Click to create a new virtual machine
2. There are two installation methods of VMware below. We choose custom one.
3. Here is the virtual hardware compatibility selection provided by VMware. Select the default and click to continue.
4. There are three methods of image installation below. Newbies are advised to create a blank hard disk and click Next, which can pave the way for subsequent image installation.
5. Select the Linux system and select the corresponding version. CentOS 7 64-bit will be installed later, so select CntOS 7. After completion, click Next.
6. The name of the virtual machine can be customized, then click Browse on the location, create a folder on a drive other than the C drive, and place it in the folder. After completion, click Next
7. Select the hardware configuration. It is recommended to choose 2 here, as shown in the figure:
8. Choose the appropriate memory size according to your personal hardware (it is recommended to choose the recommended maximum memory)
9. The following are three networking methods for virtual machines. It is recommended to use NAT to connect and click Next after completing the connection.
10. The following are the controller options of the virtual machine. We can just use the default. After completion, click Next
11. Select the disk type, which is also the default, click Next.
12. We need to create a new disk in the virtual machine
13. Define the size of the disk. It is recommended to make it larger. I chose 50G here. Click Next after completion.
14. Select the new CD/DCD, select Use ISO image file on the right, browse the downloaded image file, if not, download it from the official website, select it and click Close. 15. After finishing these, we will open it directly in the virtual machine 
. Kali has been created
16. Enter the installation interface, as shown in the picture, click on the screen, double-click and press Enter
17. Select Chinese (Simplified) and click Continue.
18. Select China and click Continue.
19. Select Chinese and click Continue.
20. Wait for a moment
21. Set the host name
22. Configure the domain name. If not, you can skip it directly and click Next.
23. Set a login password. Please remember the password.
24. Wait for a moment
25. A partition appears here. Let’s just click to continue.
26. Operate as shown in the figure, click to continue.
27. The partitioning is done. End the partitioning and click Continue. As shown in the picture
28. Click Yes and continue
29. Follow the picture to continue the operation. Click to continue. You can uncheck the last item. This is an additional tool.
30. Click "Yes" and continue
31. You must select /dev/sda here, otherwise the installation will fail.
