1. Install VMware workstation

2. Download the CentOS operating system

3. Start to install CentOS system

  • Click Create New Virtual Machine in VMware

  • Directly choose a typical installation 

  • Select the prepared system image 

  • Enter the password of the account to be created 

     
  • Change the storage location (it is best not to put it in the default C drive) 

  •  Modify the disk size as needed

  • Click on Customize Hardware

  • Modify memory, processor and other configurations according to requirements

  • After the modification is complete, check the configuration, and click Finish to start the installation after confirming that it is correct.

  • Start automatic installation, don't worry about him, just wait for about 30 minutes

  • The installation is complete, start this virtual machine

  • Enter the desktop, right-click open terminal, and you can start using the command line

     

 4. Install finalShell to facilitate operation and management of CentOS system

  • It is not convenient to operate the Linux command line page in VMware, mainly because:
    • It is inconvenient to copy and paste content across VMware
    • It is inconvenient to upload and download files across VMware
    • That is, various interactions with the Linux system, it is inconvenient to cross VMware
  • You can remotely connect to the Linux operating system through the third-party software, FinalShell. And use FinalShell to operate the Linux system. In this way, all kinds of operations will be very convenient. The download address of FinalShell is:
  • First query the IP address of the CentOS system
    • ifconfig: The ip address of the ens33 network card is 192.168.29.130
  • Open the FinalShell software and create a new connection to the CentOS system

  • Enter the IP address and user password to connect to CentOS

  • double click quick connect

  • After the connection is successful, you can easily operate and manage CentOS
