VMware Workstation 17 Pro installs kali (linux) virtual machine (super detailed!)

1. Official download KAli Linux

1. Official website: https://www.kali.org/

2. click download

3. Slide down and click on Installer

Download the latest version of kali

4. Unzip after downloading the compressed package

Note: Here we can install Kali after decompression is complete. The virtual machine I chose is VMware.

2. Kali installation

1. create virtual machine

2. Click on the file to create a new virtual machine

3. custom install

4. The default here, the next step

5. Choose to install the operating system later

6. Choose Linux, choose Debian version

7. Name the virtual machine, select the installation path, it is recommended not to install on the c drive, and then select the next step

8. If you configure the processor computer, you can give more

9. Set the memory, I will give 2g here, and you can give more if the computer is configured

10. select network type

11. default next step

12. Give disk capacity

13. default next step

14. Click on Customize Hard Disk

15. Select the downloaded image and close

16. Click to start this virtual machine

17. choose the first

18. Wait for a while, slide up and choose Chinese

20. wait for a while

23. Set the name and password, it is recommended to use kali, because you will need to log in later

24. wait for a while, default

Select Continue and wait for a while

25. select "yes"

26. Select /dev/sda

27. The installation is complete

28. Enter account password to log in
