This is the first version of the project based on Debian 12: "antiX 23 'Arditi del Popolo' is a new version based on Debian 'Bookworm'.

As usual, we offer completely systemd-free and elogind-less versions for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures. Available ISO image files come with SysVInit or Runit. The 32-bit version uses a non-pae kernel.

Note: After installing the antiX-23_x64-full version, the default kernel will be "Modern" 6.1, even if "Legacy" 5.10 is launched during live boot.

Changes: Based on Debian 12 "Bookworm" but without systemd/libsystemd0 and elogind/libelogind0; eudev instead of udev; custom 5.10.188 Linux kernel; custom 6.1.42 Linux kernel (x64 full version only): LibreOffice 7.5 .5; Firefox 102.14.0esr (antiX-full); SeaMonkey 2.53.17 (antiX-base); Claws Mail 4.1.1; CUPS for printing; PipeWire/WirePlumber (full); ALSA (base and core) )…” For more information, see the project’s release announcement.

Download (pkglist): antiX-23_x64-full.iso (1,685MB, SHA256), antiX-23_x64-base.iso (961MB, SHA256), antiX-23_x64-core.iso (531MB, SHA256), antiX-23-net_x64 -net.iso (241MB, SHA256). An image for i386 architecture is also provided.
