Oracle in VMware virtual machine installation configuration

I was on a VMware virtual machine installed Oracle, I only talk about it I stepped on a few pit.

  1. VMware Virtual Network Editor
    • Only the host mode is equivalent to between your hosts and virtual machines set up a local area network, which is only your hosts and virtual machines
    • This can be set via DHCP VMnet inside the start and end ip ip address ip address range of the virtual machine, your virtual machine ip addresses are within this range (subnet ip also within this range)
  2. Virtual machine file modification
    • C: \ oracle \ product \ 10.2.0 \ db_1 \ NETWORK \ ADMIN tnsnames.ora and listener.ora there are two files, the file name and other information which has connection with Notepad open, the inside of the ip address to now the virtual machine address
  3. Host Operation
    • instantclient_12_1 this document, I do not know what it is, I can only make use of them to create a config folder inside this folder, copy into a virtual machine inside the tnsnames.ora file and add environment variables:.. TNS_ADMIN = your file address \ instantclient_12_1 \ config, wait a minute this PLSQL use
    • Installation PLSQL, the first time you open the software press cancel, then enter the software in Tools -> Preference inside Oracle Home to instantclient_12_1, following OCI libraray set instantclient_12_1 file address \ oci.dll, OK!
    • Restart PLSQL, enter the username and password in the login screen, write ORCL database, as set in the tnsnames.ora file which can then be started.
