[Summary and finishing] "Everyone is a product manager" --- after reading

"Interaction Design" to "Agile Development":

Interaction design: seeking stability, suitable for traditional fields, mature companies with abundant time and resources, and companies already in a leading position in a certain field, the purpose is to seek stability, and no mistakes are victory. The idea is to craft carefully, and work slowly to produce meticulous work.

Agile development: seeking speed, suitable for emerging industries and start-up companies, time is tight, everyone is in a hurry, whoever comes out first will have the first opportunity, or enter a certain industry as a challenger, the team itself is flexible, and there is no loss in failure. Large, low cost to repeat.

Technology to PD: both advantages and disadvantages.

The advantage is to understand the technology, you can think more comprehensively in the early stage of the product, you can judge what things are not reliable at the beginning, so as to avoid wasting resources, and you can communicate more smoothly with engineers when you enter the implementation stage

The disadvantage is also to understand technology. If it is not used properly, technology will overwhelm the business. Before the business logic is determined, the difficulty of implementation is carefully considered, which leads to deviation in direction and limited progress.

So, it doesn't matter what the PD did before, what matters is that we must be a generalist rather than a specialist. To act like a connector and a lubricant in the team. Focus on user experience and feelings.

Planner: Structured thinking, to ensure that the product is useful, to meet certain needs of users, and to make the product from scratch.

Designer: It is more about visual expression, to ensure that the product is easy to use, to make users feel comfortable, and to ensure that the product is from good to excellent.

Operational functions: Turn functions into selling points.

First tell the user what the product is useful for, and then the user will understand how the product is used, and then pay attention to the market response of the product and promote product improvement.
