This meeting was hosted by Yu Jie, secretary-general of the openKylin community. Community work report
Liu Min, deputy secretary-general of the openKylin community, participated in the meeting online and reported the progress of community operations in 2023 and the development plan for 2024 to representatives of the governing units around the dimensions of community governance, infrastructure, SIG groups, community versions, community members, and brand promotion. . Li Jianfeng, a member of the openKylin Community Technical Committee, reported to the representatives of the governing units from the aspects of system version construction and community technology innovation.
In 2023, the openKylin community released 3 system versions, and focused on the underlying core technology of the desktop operating system and user experience improvement, launched the "graded freezing" application life cycle management mechanism, the "native compatibility" technology of the software and hardware ecosystem, and VirtIO-GPU hardware A series of innovative achievements such as video acceleration mechanism, new generation graphics display framework wlcom synthesizer, and enlightened software package format.
In addition, in the face of the rapidly developing field of artificial intelligence technology, the openKylin community is actively deploying. In June 2023, it launched ecological compatibility and system-level integration of large AI model products, released the openKylin AI framework installation assistant, and supported desktops in openKylin version 1.0 AI large model plug-in and intelligent voice assistant functions promote the innovative development of intelligent interaction in desktop operating systems.
Contribution sharing of governing units
Wen Yan, general manager of Beijing Linzhuo, shared the theme of "Drawing a Brilliant Driven Future - Graphics SIG Group Work Report". Based on the community platform, Beijing Linzhuo established GraphicSystem SIG, which is responsible for the adaptation and optimization of GPU drivers and graphics software in the openKylin community. Information exchange and supporting software development related to graphics systems, such as stack optimization, GPU-based general computing, comprehensive testing and evaluation of graphics processing systems, etc. In the future, Linzhuo will deepen cooperation with the community and provide support for expanding the community application ecosystem.
Li Hejia, deputy director of the Yuanxin Technology Research Institute, shared the theme of "Work Progress and Follow-up Work Directions of the Flutter SIG Group". After joining the community, Yuanxin Technology participated in Security SIG related work and repaired CVE vulnerabilities in related warehouses. At the same time, the Flutter SIG was established, dedicated to promoting the support of the Flutter application development framework in the openKylin community, including support for the Flutter development environment and Flutter application operation support. In the future, we will work closely with the openKylin community to carry out more technical attempts and innovative explorations.
Feiteng software support manager Zheng Junpu shared the theme of "Feiteng with Open Kylin". Feiteng and the openKylin community have close cooperation in technical support, open source community construction and ecological activities. Based on the community, Phytium SIG was created. In 2024, Phytium will work around the openKylin kernel and software adaptation on the server platform to contribute to the prosperity of the community ecosystem.
Wang Yunlong, a senior technical expert on RISC-V and ecology from Alibaba Damo Academy, shared the theme of "OpenKylin & Xuantie RISC-V Cooperation Progress". Wang Yunlong said that Xuantie and the openKylin community have deep technical integration, software adaptation and ecological promotion. Cooperation, based on the basic platform of Xuantie CPU + openKylin operating system, jointly with DingTalk, the three parties worked together to complete the compilation of 27,000+ files, core components such as Qt&CEF, and the construction of 17 third-party libraries. Jingmei Product Director Qiu Jiang shared the theme of "OpenKylin Open Source Road for Domestic GPUs". After Jingmei joined the openKylin community, he initiated the establishment of the GPU SIG group and invited many domestic GPU manufacturers to join and contribute to the community. It has now been officially completed. The adaptation work between Jingmei JM9100 graphics card and openKylin 1.0 version operating system will be gradually merged into openKylin 2.0 version.
Zhaoxin senior product manager Zhang Wei shared the theme of "Building an openKylin community together". After Zhaoxin joined the community GPU SIG, it actively carried out related work such as verification and adaptation of the openKylin kernel on the Zhaoxin CPU platform, performance optimization, and new demand support. Assist the community to orderly promote the improvement and version update of the openKylin open source operating system. Currently, Zhaoxin's latest generation Kaixian KX-6000G processor has completed the adaptation certification with the openKylin operating system, and ranks among the top code contributors in the openKylin community.

As a community decision-making body and leadership body, the openKylin Community Council is mainly responsible for guiding the development direction of the community, formulating long-term development plans and implementation guidance.
