On March 8, the first regular meeting of the openKylin community GPU SIG was held online. The meeting was organized by several SIG Maintainers from GPU manufacturers such as Changsha Jingmei Integrated Circuit Design Co., Ltd., Moore Thread Intelligent Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., Granfield Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., and Xiangdixian Computing Technology (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. Participate in discussions on behalf of members.
The meeting determined the GPU SIG regular meeting system, approved the application for new member units to join, and focused on the GPU SIG annual community work plan sorted out by GPU SIG Owner Shan Jinkui .
The details of the meeting discussion are as follows:

Unanimously approved the application for new members to join the GPU SIG group.

The meeting decided to hold a regular SIG meeting every month, on Wednesday 16:30-17:30 at the beginning of each month.

After discussing and passing the 23-year work plan of the GPU SIG group, the following work contents will be promoted in accordance with the key points of the plan:
(1) Collect the 2023 version release plan of each GPU manufacturer, and match the version release plan of the openKylin community;
(2) Collect and sort out the driver software installation package instructions of each GPU manufacturer;
(3) Collect and sort out the 2023 open source plans of various GPU manufacturers;
(4) Collect and sort out the appeals of various GPU manufacturers to the openKylin community;
(5) Organize various GPU manufacturers to participate in the offline activities of the openKylin community.
At the meeting, as the initiator of GPU SIG, Changsha Jingmei IC Design Co., Ltd. also announced its annual work plan for participating in the joint construction of the openKylin community. The details are as follows:
First half of 2023
1. Provide Jingmei Company's 2023 driver version release plan;
2. Provide the description of the driver software installation package of Jingmei Company.
Second half of 2023
1. Contribute jmgpu-kgc software source code;
2. Submit some patches that support Jingmei graphics card to the mesa software package.
The openKylin community GPU SIG is committed to the research of GPU driver related technologies, including OpenGL, OpenCL, Vulkan, VDPAU and VAAPI, etc., provides technical planning, design, development, maintenance and upgrade services of GPU related software packages, and promotes the development of domestic GPU technology.
