Companies Jointly Demonstrate Dual-Mode Capabilities with Peak Rates on Both Bands
MWC Shanghai, China, June 28 , 2023 - Picocom , a provider of 5G open RAN baseband chips and carrier-grade software, and KiwiCT, a provider of wireless access communication system solutions, will present at MWC 2023 Shanghai Mobile World Congress ("MWC Shanghai") jointly demonstrated the industry's first fully functional 4G+5G dual-mode small base station. The DYND-6100 small base station product is designed and manufactured by Kiwi Communications. It adopts Picoqi's PC802 baseband system-level chip and software to support 5GNR/LTE dual-mode functions.

In this joint end-to-end service demonstration, the DYND-6100 small base station product will be connected to multiple commercial mobile phones, and the transmission rate can be displayed in real time through the analysis software running on the mobile phones.
Bikochi PC802 baseband SoC has been delivered in batches together with mature physical layer software, and can be widely used in distributed unit (O-DU), radio frequency unit (O-RU) and integrated small base station products. PC802 can not only support separate processing of 4G LTE and 5G NR physical layers, but also support simultaneous processing of these two physical layers on one chip.
