Read The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

(Moved from QQ space)

I recently read "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" (Chinese version, haven't read the original).

for success.
I have always been skeptical of success.
What is success? Success in what way? Why be successful?
The meaning of human existence has not yet been understood, and you are thinking of success?
Like the ubiquitous talent show, I think the proliferation of success studies is the product of impetuousness.
Everyone has their own aspirations, and the true state of success is different for everyone.
Success is "destined", it is a natural result after things develop, and it comes naturally.
Any "success" that requires a lot of deliberate effort is not true success.
As "Any 'Xiaoyao' that needs the help of external force is not a real Xiaoyao" ("Xiaoyaoyou").

The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People
I will not say why I read this book. I also read superficially (lots of narrative).
Many people rated this book highly. The book sold very well.

1. Say the negative first.
1.1 It is about successful learning.
Success is all about utilitarianism. Referring to the previous "doubt" about the study of success, a solid negative tone has been laid.

1.2 Successful students often regard some theories or arguments that cannot withstand strict scrutiny as "axioms", and use this to expand and prove some of their theories. This book is no exception.
I think this is very important. Because this is already biased towards the rhythm of

brainwashing . If you can't recognize this, and you don't have your own opinions, the more you read, the more stupid you will be. 1.3 After reading the whole book, it feels like reading a composition with full marks in the college entrance examination.
(Yes, you read that right, I attribute this point to
negation .) Various famous quotes in the book, various examples of evidence, the arrangement of arguments and arguments... It is almost the same as writing an argumentative essay for the college entrance examination.
Celebrity quotes are extremely pale arguments in argumentative essays, and are only minus points in my grading scale
. The reason is the same as "the princes and generals have a kindness" (others can say it, why can't I say it? Why is what others say is right, and what I say is wrong?).
Case study? Is there any scientific evidence? Are there stats?
How was the sample taken? Besides, statistics are also outrageous, and may not reflect the essence of things at all.

2. The book also contains some correct or more useful points.
2.1 The inner essence is more persuasive than the outer words and deeds.
If the surface is not the same, no matter how good the surface is, it will not be able to convince people.

2.2 Seek yourself instead, from the inside out.
After the pursuit of quick special effects has created many problems, we will understand that some fundamental problems cannot be solved in a superficial way.
Finding happiness, success, or problem-solving from outside sources often doesn't stand the test of time.

2.3 Output and capacity must be balanced to achieve true high performance.
Output is the task completed, and capacity is the ability to complete the task. Similar to "If a worker wants to do good things, he must first sharpen his tools" , and the purpose of "sharp weapons" is "good things". Both "sharp weapons" and "good deeds" must be grasped.

2.4 Treat employees how you want employees to treat customers.

2.5 Only by participation can there be recognition.

(I said the importance of " analyzing the process " to emphasize the importance of analyzing the essence of things. I am by no means a "hypocrite, true loser" who "enjoys the process" and "appreciates the scenery along the way".)

Winners succeed because they succeed.
If you are successful, what you say is right, and anything can be the reason for success. Farts are delicious.
If you fail, no matter how well you do, you will be a loser. Anything can be the cause of failure.
Everything has two sides. To describe the same thing, either positive or negative words can be used.
