The current industry changes pose three challenges to the development of the operating system: first, the industry demand shows a trend of diversification and fragmentation, and the mobile phone-based operating system cannot meet the multi-end customization needs; cloud services have become a Terminal intelligent infrastructure, and mobile operating systems are still end-centric, not cloud-integrated operating systems; third, the software and hardware innovation costs of intelligent hardware are higher than that of mobile phones, and the market is calling for a more suitable operating system and its ecology.
AliOS has made some attempts in multi-terminal application scenarios, including in the fields of automobiles, consumer electronics, and new retail, finance and education, etc., and has worked closely with chip manufacturers and integrators, and has also achieved some results. AliOS will open up the operating system and capabilities to benefit a wide range of device manufacturers, as well as more device integrators and OEMs.
