Reading Notes (ROS Book②) "Open Source Robot Operating System—ROS"

According to reports, this is the first Chinese-language book in China that comprehensively introduces ROS and was published in 2012.

Compared with the previous book, this book is more suitable for beginners, and the description method is also more friendly to beginners.

(1) In order to facilitate readers to refer to the steps, every detail is not missed. For example, when a user runs a program file on the Ubuntu system, the system does not have open writable permissions by default, so at the end of the code, it is also stated that the chmod command needs to be used to change the execution permissions on the file.

(2) For each program, there is a more detailed code explanation.

(3) The running of the program is not a simple terminal window. Sometimes it is necessary to open multiple terminal windows, which is also explained in the book.

The similarities between the two books are that they both introduce SLAM, which shows that SLAM is also a critical part of ROS.
