1. This lesson will show you how to create a new blank workbook. First, use the start menu to open the spreadsheet software. Click the system icon in the lower left corner of the screen to open the start menu.
2. Then in the start screen area, click the quick access icon to open the spreadsheet software.
3. Various spreadsheet templates are displayed on the right side of the screen, click the blank workbook template to create a blank workbook.
4. A blank workbook can give you unlimited creative freedom. You can also create template-based workbooks by first clicking the File tab in the upper left corner.
5. Then click the New command to enter the New Workbook window.
6. In the New window, all available workbook templates are listed. Click the vertical scroll bar on the right to view the workbook templates below.
7. The system provides some commonly used keywords for you to search for the corresponding template. Click the business keyword to search for related workbook templates.
8. After a few seconds, you will see business-related workbook templates found on the Internet. Click on one of the template thumbnails to view property information for that template.
9. In the template properties window, it is displayed that the provider of the template is Microsoft, and the size of the template is 99k. Click the Create button to create a workbook based on this template.
10. Depending on the network conditions, the download time of the template may be longer or shorter. After the template download is complete, a template-based workbook is automatically created and opened. Click the scroll bar on the right to see what's at the bottom of the workbook.
11. The current workbook shows a chart of cost trends over the year, and the data for each month is placed in a separate worksheet. Click the close icon in the upper right corner to close the current workbook.
12. In the pop-up warning prompt window, click the Don't Save option to end the lesson without saving the modifications to the workbook.
