2.9 Use shortcut keys to quickly hide and display rows and columns [Original Excel Tutorial]

1. This lesson will show you how to quickly hide and display rows and columns in a worksheet by using shortcut keys. Press the mouse on the column heading of column F and drag to the right to select multiple columns of cells. 



2. Then press the shortcut key on the keyboard to quickly hide the selected column. 


3. Click the right mouse button at the position of the hidden column, and a context menu will pop up. 


4. In the pop-up right-click menu, select the [Unhide] command to restore the display of hidden columns. 


5. Click on another cell to deselect the column. 


6. Then press the mouse on the row number and drag down to select multiple rows of cells. 


7. Then press the keyboard shortcut to quickly hide the selected row. 


8. If you want to restore the display of hidden rows, in addition to using the right-click menu, you can also use this set of shortcut keys. 


9. Click on other cells to deselect the row and end the lesson.
