1.12 Export the workbook as a PDF file [Original Excel Tutorial]

1. This lesson will show you how to export a workbook to a file in the PDF Portable Document Format. PDF portable documents can facilitate the dissemination and use of documents. First click on the File tab in the upper left corner. 


2. In the command list on the left, select the export command to enter the export page. 


3. Then click the Create PDF Portable Document command to open the [Publish as PDF Portable Document] setting window. 


4. In the pop-up Publishing Settings window, double-click to enter the folder where the PDF portable document will be saved. 


5. Then, in the file name input box, enter the name of the file after saving. 


6. Click the Publish button to complete the file storage location and naming operation. After the PDF document is exported, it will be automatically opened. 


7. Observe that the exported PDF document has the same content and appearance as the spreadsheet. Click the close icon in the upper right corner to close the document. 


8. There is another way to export PDF documents. Click the Save As command on the left to enter the Save As page. 


9. Then click the Browse command to open the Save As Settings window. 


10. In the pop-up Save As window, click the Save as type drop-down arrow to select the file storage type. 


11. Select the PDF Portable Document Type option from the list. 


12. Then click the Options button to open the Options Settings window. 


13. In the option setting window, you can set to export the entire workbook or selected content as a PDF portable document, here select the option to convert only the current worksheet. 


14. Click the OK button to finish setting the export options. 


15. Finally, click the Save button to complete the export of the PDF document. After the document is exported, it will be opened automatically.
