Original: http://coolketang.com/staticOffice/5a97f2f79f54542163dc40f8.html

1. This lesson will show you how to add suffix text to the numbers and results involved in the calculation. First click on cell E15, which will be used to calculate the sum of the numbers in this column.

2. Click the sum function icon to perform the sum operation at that cell location.

3. Then press the mouse on cell E6 and drag down to select the cell below.

4. Press the Enter key on the keyboard to complete the summation.

5. The result of the summation operation is 0, this is because the data involved in the calculation has a suffix [vehicle]. Drag the mouse down to select the data area again.

6. You will then delete the word [vehicle] to the right of the number and do the calculation again. Click the [Find and Select] button to pop up the search and select command menu.

7. Select the [Replace] command in the menu list to open the [Find and Replace] window.

8. In the Find what input box, click to enter the text you want to find.

9. Keep the content of the [Replace with] input box empty, and click the [Replace All] button to delete the car character from the content of the cell.

10. Observe cell E15, which can already display the result of the summation operation normally. In the pop-up replacement prompt window, click the OK button to complete the text replacement operation.

11. Then click the Close button to close the Find and Replace window.

12. Press the shortcut key on the keyboard to expand the E15 cell below the selection, and you will add the word "V" to the selected cell.

13. Click the Format drop-down arrow to pop up the Cell Formatting window.

14. In the displayed cell formatting list, select the Format Cells option.

15. Select the [Custom] option in the category list to enter the custom type setting panel.

16. Then select the [0] option to set the number type to a standard integer type without decimal points and thousand separators.

17. Click in the type input box to enter the type editing mode.

18. Press the space bar on the keyboard to add a space to the right of the number 0.

19. Then enter double quotation marks through the keyboard. The word [vehicle] is used as a Chinese character, which needs to be enclosed by half-width double quotation marks.

20. Then enter the text [vehicle].

21. Type a double quotation mark again, enclosing the word VE between the two double quotation marks.

22. After finishing the number type setting, click the OK button to close the Format Cells window.

23. Now the cell of the summation result can display the summation result and suffix text normally. Click on other cells to deselect the current cell and end the lesson.
