On June 26, the final of the first cross-border e-commerce entrepreneurship and innovation competition of China (Mianyang) Science and Technology City, hosted by Mianyang Science and Technology City Management Committee and undertaken by Mianyang Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Mianyang Comprehensive Free Trade Zone Management Committee, was held. Since its launch on May 24, 2022, the competition has received positive responses from major colleges and universities and more than 30 units in Mianyang. At the final scene, 8 teams competed on the same stage, talking about market analysis, product selection strategy, operation strategy, etc. The atmosphere was enthusiastic, highlights were frequent, and applause continued. "What we are fighting is not a 'price war' but to establish brand awareness, help Chinese brands go overseas, showcase Chinese culture, tell Chinese stories well, create a shining business card of Chinese quality to the world, let Chinese manufacturing gain a firm foothold, and ride the wind and waves to let Chinese brands sail. Go to sea.” The contestants expressed their original intention of joining cross-border e-commerce.
After the award ceremony, the participating students signed an employment agreement with the company on the spot. College graduates signed a business incubation agreement with the cross-border e-commerce incubator. Mianyang Normal University, Southwest University of Science and Technology, Mianyang City College, Southwest University of Finance and Economics Tianfu College, Mianyang Vocational and Technical College and other colleges and universities respectively cooperated with Madison Incubator, Shouzhan Incubator, Sichuan 1522 Incubator Management Company, Sichuan Weimeiyi Electronic Commerce Co., Ltd., Sichuan Aladdin Electronics Business companies and other cross-border e-commerce companies have signed industry-university-research strategic cooperation agreements, and awarded licenses for practice bases.
At the final site, a roundtable forum of "Gathering momentum and linking the world" was also held. Ye Haolong, a major tiktok cross-border seller, and people from the cross-border e-commerce industry were invited to express their views and share experiences on the exploration and transformation of cross-border e-commerce.
