1. Introduction to MAX98357
The MAX98357 and MAX98358 digital-input Class-D audio power amplifiers help designers implement compact, high-efficiency, plug-and-play solutions with high cost performance. In addition to having a small form factor, the device can achieve 3.2W of Class AB amplifier sound quality with Class D amplifier efficiency, achieving excellent high-fidelity sound effects, suitable for various product applications.
The MAX98357 pulse-code modulation (PCM) and MAX98358 pulse-density modulation (PDM) plug-and-play speaker amplifiers take advantage of Maxim's pinout flexibility. Compared with typical analog amplifier solutions, the component count is greatly reduced, thereby greatly reducing the solution size. Since most users control volume upstream digitally, these features allow users to take advantage of Maxim's cost-effective wafer-level packaging (WLP) without the need for expensive PCBVIAs.
