Brief introduction of RF power amplifier

In wireless communication, the final transmission of the signal needs to be amplified before it can propagate in space. The module that can achieve the amplification function is the power amplifier. The types of power amplifiers are divided into two categories: continuous wave and pulse according to the different forms of amplified signals. CW power amplifiers generally work linearly, while pulse power amplifiers mostly work in a saturated state. CW power amplifiers can replace pulse power amplifiers. That is, continuous wave power amplifiers can work in pulse mode, but pulse power amplifiers cannot work in continuous wave mode.
