1. Introduction to HTU31

The high performance HTU31 humidity and temperature combination sensor is one of the smallest and most accurate humidity sensors on the market. Available in digital and analogue versions, the HTU31 provides fast response times, accurate measurements, low hysteresis and sustained performance even in the harshest environments.

The HTU31 humidity and temperature sensor includes digital (D) and analog (V) versions, combining multiple functions and an application-friendly operating supply voltage range of 3V to 5.5V

The sensor also has an onboard heater that can be controlled to turn on and off to help evaporate condensation on the sensing element. Of course, temperature sensing will not be accurate when the heater is on. Data is read with a CRC.

HTU32 has the following characteristics:

  • Available in analog and digital output versions with various interfaces
  • Ensures fast response times (humidity: 5 seconds, temperature: 10 seconds) even after condensation for continuous system performance
  • By humidity (0% to 100%) and temperature (-40°C to +125°C)
