3dMAX model import Unreal process

Direct operation, here you need to use the Datasmith plug-in to operate

Plugin URL: Datasmith - Unreal Engine

Enter this page, click to get the plug-in

         Enter the interface below

        Take 3DMAX as an example

Optimistic about the corresponding version supported

The current page is the latest version. If you need other versions, you need to click on the bottom to view the historical version

Mine is 4.27, then download it

After the download is complete, it is OK to install it as a fool (the premise is that there is 3DMax in the computer)

The next step is the operation in 3D, select export (format: .UDATASMITH format)

(Here is a model processing skill attached) (If you know it, you can skip it, if you don’t, you can chat privately)

With all models selected, adjust the model above the horizontal line, select Affect Axes Only, and attribute all axes to (0, 0, 0)

After that, select all the models, right click at the bottom, adjust to editable poly. can

The exported file can be used in Unreal (the following is the method used in Unreal)

Open the unreal plugin list, check the Datasmith Importer plugin, and restart

Click the plug-in icon, select the file to import, and select the settings according to your needs

 It's ok.

PS: The above 3DMax settings are just for the convenience of adjusting the model after importing Unreal.
