        There are various modes of business communication between people, and different people prefer to communicate through different mediums. Even so, there are some ways of communicating that are more productive. People rarely read all their emails, and certainly don't reply to every one, but senders like to believe their emails are different. Senders think their emails will be received instantly and will be answered immediately. How delusional we are when it comes to communication! Email's asynchronous communication model means it's easy to overlook, and there's no practical way to know if it's going to be read or responded to. Email is a lousy method when you really need a quick answer. In general, the more personal and synchronised communication patterns are, the more likely you are to get a quick professional feedback. When you really need someone to respond, then in order of effectiveness, you should communicate with them in the following ways.

1 Go directly to someone's office and discuss it face-to-face.

2 phone discussion.

3 Communicate with real-time communication tools.

4 Schedule a meeting (this will delay progress, but discussions will be productive).

5. Email your question or request (this method is best when the question is not time-sensitive). If you don't get a reply or a response within two days, you may never get a reply, and that's when one of the previous strategies should be used.
