技术委员会 (Technical Committees，TC) 专注于 IEEE 机器人与自动化学会的研究内容，跟踪技术发展并鼓励在以下方面进行创新：应用（applications）、理论（theory）、模型（models）、度量（metrics）、实验（experiments）、架构（architectures）、产品（products）、计划（initiatives）和其他技术领域。
45 个技术委员会鼓励在特定领域开展研究。当某一主题领域发展壮大、相关性日益增强或超出现有技术委员会的范围时，就会增加新的技术委员会。
技术委员会是会员资格的一个重要优势，可促进领域内的进一步合作与交流。
