7. Exporting Earth Engine Data

7.1. Introduction

In the last chapter, we have covered how to analyze Earth Engine data. It is often desirable to export analysis results from Earth Engine. You can export images, tables, videos, and map tiles from Earth Engine. The exported data can be saved to a local drive on your computer, to your Google Drive account, to Google Cloud Storage or to a new Earth Engine asset. In this chapter, we will focus on exporting various data from Earth Engine, including images, image collections, videos, maps, and image thumbnails. We will also learn how to use the high-volume endpoint for exporting thousands of image chips in just a few minutes. At the end of this chapter, you will be able to export data from Earth Engine to a variety of formats.
