11.1. Introduction
In this chapter, we will explore some real-world applications of Earth Engine. We will learn how to use Earth Engine to analyze surface water dynamics, map land cover change, monitor forest cover change, and create global land cover maps. This is an opportunity to apply the visualization and analytical skills you have learned in the previous chapters to solve real-world problems. Keep in mind that the examples in this chapter are just a small fraction of the applications that can be built with Earth Engine.
