ECS Windows server when you open the Remote Assistance, Remote Assistance will be unable to check the situation turned gray, as shown below:

Windows 2008 & 2012 Server open this feature, you need to add this functionality in the role, before you can choose, you can refer to the following solutions:

Windows 2008 Solutions
Left mouse button Click Start - Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Server Manager - Role - Right click on the Add Role
Check Remote Assistance, the next step until completion.
Windows 2012 Solutions
Left-click the taskbar Winodws Server Manager
In the pop-up Server Manager window, click the right side of the Add Roles and Features
On the Add Roles and Features Wizard, next to the default function settings section, check the Remote Assistance, the next step until completion
