Windows2008 and Windows2012 server version operating systems can only support one user remote by default. If the second person goes remotely, the previous logged-in user will be kicked out; so we need to solve such a thing.
Windows 2008 and Windows 2012 operate in the same way. The following operating system steps are demonstrated with Windows 2012.
method/step
-
Press Win+R keys on the keyboard (you can also right-click on the start menu and select Run)
-
Enter the "gpedit.msc" command in the run input box, and then click OK
-
In "Computer Group Policy", expand Computer Configuration --> Administrative Templates --> Windows Components --> then select Remote Desktop Services in the menu on the right; double-click to open
-
In the Remote Desktop Services interface; double-click to open the Remote Desktop Session Host
-
Double-click to open Connections in the Remote Desktop Session Host interface
-
Double-click to open "Restrict Remote Desktop Services users to separate Remote Desktop Services sessions" in the Connections interface
-
In the "Restrict Remote Desktop Services users to individual Remote Desktop Services sessions" screen, select "Disabled" and click OK
-
Then go back to the connection interface, and double-click to open "Limit the number of connections" in the "Connection" interface.
-
In the "Limit the number of connections" interface; select "Enabled" ---> then select the maximum number of simultaneous remote users that you can accept in the "Maximum number of RD connections allowed" in the options; what I choose here is 5; that is, it can support 5 remote desktop management at the same time; then click OK
-
Finally, let's check our results; in the picture below, the administrator is used to remotely remote the same server at the same time.
