Sometimes we need to transfer files between two servers, such as transferring some installation packages or configured items to the backup machine, two servers in the same LAN can transfer files through the built-in remote desktop connection, directly It is more convenient to copy and paste in the past.
1. Make sure that the two servers that need to be remote are in the same network segment
Only two servers in the same local area network can use the built-in remote desktop to connect.
2. Turn off the firewall
Turn off the firewall on both servers.
You can use ping to see if you can ping through. At this time, you encounter a problem. Only one side can ping through, and the other side cannot.
Also confirmed that the firewalls of the two servers have been closed. We will discuss this question later, it is no problem to use 232 to remotely connect to 231.
3. It is necessary to remotely open the permission of the remote computer
3.1 Open windows sever 2012R to allow remote
Right-click, select Properties
and find Remote Desktop
, enter the remote ip address to connect
3.2 Open windows sever 2016 to allow remote
At this time, 232 can remote 231:
But 231 is temporarily unable to remote 232
4. One party can ping, but the other party cannot.
I saw someone say this solution:
On the computer that cannot be pinged, set the firewall as follows: click "Firewall" - "Advanced Settings" - "Inbound Rules" in sequence, and enable "File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In)".
But I tried it and it didn't work. Will update after this issue is resolved.
