OBS Studio 30.0 has been officially released. This release removes support for Ubuntu 20.04, Qt 5, and versions prior to FFmpeg 4.4.

Major changes include:

  1. Supports WebRTC (for details, see OBS Studio supports WebRTC, implemented in Rust)
  2. Redesign the status bar to organize and structure content and introduce more representative and recognizable icons
  3. Add Intel QSV (Quick Sync Video) support for Linux platform
  4. Add application audio capture for macOS version
  5. Added shader cache for Windows version to reduce startup time
  6. Add "Safe Mode": No need for third-party plugins, scripts and websockets to run OBS

Other notable changes include: sorting audio/video encoder dropdowns by name by default, adding the ability to arrange filters using drag and drop, enabling GPU scaling "Rescale Output" where possible, and the addition of Studio Log record of scene changes in mode.
