The first Beta of OBS Studio 30.0 has been released. This version removes support for Ubuntu 20.04, Qt 5 and FFmpeg 4.4.
Major changes include:

- Redesign of the status bar to organize and structure content and introduce more representative and recognizable icons
- Add Intel QSV (Quick Sync Video) support for Linux platform
- Add application audio capture for macOS version
- Added shader caching for Windows version to reduce startup time
- Added "safe mode": run OBS without 3rd party plugins, scripts and websockets
Other notable changes include sorting the audio/video encoders dropdown by name by default, adding the ability to arrange filters using drag and drop, enabling GPU scaling "rescale output" when possible, and adding Studio Logging of scene changes in the mode.
