FeiBing 2.0 is officially released and supports Vue project development

Two months have passed since the official version 1.0 was released , and FeiBing has ushered in a major version 2.0 update.

What is Flying Ice 2.0?

For the detailed background and introduction of Flying Ice, please refer to the introduction of the official version 1.0 release, which will not be repeated here: zhuanlan.zhihu.com/p/34265596 .

Our slogan in version 1.0 at that time was "mass of reusable materials, extremely fast construction of middle and background applications through GUI tools", and the main goal was to provide tools for middle and background applications. However, we found that Feibing is not limited to the middle and back-end business fields. Our research and development of engineering tools and material development tools can actually support the needs of various front-end fields. So our 2.0 slogan is modified to:

Make front-end development simple and friendly

This slogan also expresses what Feibing is:

  • Through Iceworks GUI tool, complete development documentation, rich components, etc., FeiBing can have the best practices of front-end development without installing and configuring any front-end development environment (such as installing node, etc.), without writing build scripts, etc. The development process is very simple.
  • Through massive materials, you can quickly reuse and focus on writing business logic to improve development efficiency, and you can view the code for learning. Coupled with the real-time Q&A from Taobao front-end engineers and enthusiastic classmates in Feibing's official group, front-end development becomes friendly.

What does Flying Ice 2.0 bring?

Support Vue project development

A thousand calls began to come out. Since the Alibaba department prefers the React technology stack, our official version of the materials are all developed based on React.

But a considerable number of developers prefer or are good at Vue to develop front-end projects. In order to meet the needs of users, we have spent a lot of energy to connect and improve the use of Vue.

First of all, we will officially launch the official Vue material . Due to the limited energy, it currently only contains a set of templates and a few modules to build a simple site, and it is still expanding.

Secondly, Iceworks has been fully upgraded to support functions such as custom material sources, Vue project identification and related logic processing.

Our material development tool ice-devtools has also been publicly tested and launched. At present, you can develop your own material source or jointly build and PR the official material source.

For Vue material sources, limited by team effort, etc., we have launched the Vue material support plan , hoping to quickly replenish the quantity of Vue materials and improve the quality through community co-construction. The Vue blocks you develop will not only be used by yourself, but will also be reused by more Feiice users. Enthusiastic students with Vue development experience are welcome to build together!

React material source upgrade

We added several vertical domain templates, enabled new routing protocol specifications, and upgraded react-router in all templates to the latest version v4.

If you created a project before, you can manually upgrade it by referring to the routing upgrade documentation.

Iceworks supports custom template creation, plugin admin panel, etc.

Through the configuration of the template properties, customize the personalized template (currently supports the customization of the skin), and save the configuration options for easy editing again.

The new plugin panel also allows you to customize the information to be displayed in the project panel. In the future, we will also open the plug-in development documentation.

Looking back over the past two months , we have been optimizing and upgrading at an iterative speed of several functions in one version per week. I am very grateful to friends who have provided suggestions and questions for Feibing, including but not limited to comments, Github issues or discussions, and nearly 1,500 active users in our two DingTalk groups.

We will also continue to maintain this speed, actively respond to user needs and feedback, and make front-end development simple and friendly. Hope you can continue to pay attention and support!
