1.Install VMware
The Mac version of VMware is called VMware Fusion, which needs to be downloaded from https://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/fusion-evaluation.html :
2. Install Ubuntu
M1 Mac can only install the ARM version of the virtual machine, which needs to be downloaded from https://cdimage.ubuntu.com/jammy/daily-live/current/ , as shown in the screenshot below:
3. Install VMware tools
sudo apt install open-vm-tools open-vm-tools-desktop
Note: If you install VMware tools through the menu bar Virtual Machine -> Installation will prompt that the installation failed, it is estimated that there is no ARM version.
